RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adhere to all company policies, vessel regulations, and relevant manuals.
- Ensure efficient and safe operation and maintenance of auxiliary machinery with the 2nd Engineer.
- Maintain and manage stock as per the Maintenance/Engineering program.
- Perform regular watchkeeping duties.
- Report any deficiencies to the 2nd Engineer.
- Identify and report substandard acts and conditions to the 2nd Engineer.
- Notify the Chief Engineer immediately of any deficiencies in MARPOL and Anti-Pollution equipment.
- Assist the Chief Engineer with all bunkering operations.
- Read, understand, implement, and maintain technical bulletins and service letters.
- Execute the requirements of the Shipboard Energy Efficiency Management Plan.
- Assist and understudy the 2nd Engineer as required.
- Perform any other duties allocated by the Chief Engineer or 2nd Engineer.
REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant marine certification as a Third Engineer.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in marine or offshore engineering.
- Strong understanding of auxiliary machinery operations and maintenance.
- Knowledge of MARPOL regulations and anti-pollution measures.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and company policies.
- Physically fit for offshore and engine room duties.
